Different Modes of E-Learning

E-learning has gained huge popularity in all aspects including corporate learning with the advancement of technology and instant delivery platforms.

There are various types of e-learning solutions available. To train the learner, you can choose the type of learning that best suits the needs of the learner.

Computer-based Training

Computer-based training (CBT) is any course of instruction whose primary means of delivery is a computer. Learners interact with various types of learning material via computer. It offers a stimulating environment where the learner can learn at his own pace.

Web-based Training

Web-based training (WBT) refers to the type of learning that uses the Internet as an instructional delivery tool to carry out various learning activities. WBT is also referred to as “online courses” and “Web-based instruction”. WBTs can be either in the form of individual or group training.

Instructors can track the training progress and assign the grades instantly. WBT also uses various multimedia elements to engage the learner.

Webinars

A webinar is a training, seminar, presentation, or workshop that is delivered over the web using videoconferencing software. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements that ensure the ability to give, receive and discuss information in real-time with large groups of participants

Virtual Classroom
A virtual classroom is an online learning environment that allows live interaction between the instructor and learners. This uses various synchronous technologies such as web conferencing, video conferencing, etc.

Custom E-learning

In custom e-learning, you can develop courses to suit your learning content and business requirements. This is not generic rather it delivers what exactly the learners expect. You can access the courses with limited system requirements and do not need any license.

Video-based Learning

It is a widely accepted e-learning trend and is imparted to end-users via engaging videos. This grabs the attention of the unmotivated learners and keeps them engaged throughout the training.

Mobile Learning

Mobile learning or m-learning is a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning. The learning content can be accessed by learners via mobile devices, anywhere anytime with just a few taps. In this learning, both the instructor and learners interact and share knowledge, either offline or online.
